Substitute Teachers are always needed in Lone Pine. In order to work as a substitute teacher applicants must have either a valid California teaching credential or a 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit. Interested applicants may contact Kasey Wuester in the District Office for a substitute teacher packet with procedures for being placed on an eligibility list. Applicants may contact the Inyo County Superintendent of Schools and click the link for substitute teaching.

Current Substitute Teacher Rate of Pay in Lone Pine Unified is $200 per day for first 10 non-consecutive days; $215 per day thereafter; plus GSA mileage rate

Classified

The District has various classifications of substitutes to serve as support staff when our regular employees are away from their jobs. Those positions inlcude bus driver, office clerk, crossing guard, food service, custodian, and instructional aide. Compensation shall be Step 1 of the specific classification on the salary schedule. When there is a need for substitutes a posting for such positions will be made. Applications will be paper screened and selections made for personal interviews.
