Welcome to the Lone Pine Unified School District (LPUSD); home of the Lone Pine High School Golden Eagles and Lo-Inyo Elementary and Middle School Hawks! Lone Pine is a special place that offers the beauty of Mt. Whitney and the charm that is felt only in a small town. LPUSD strives to build on old traditions and make way for the future in education.
Traditions that are kept and continue to grow include Friday Flag assemblies at Lo-Inyo to honor and promote positive behavior, several local trips to engage students in the vast science opportunities that surround us, continuous support and growth in our FFA program, and many more!
In order to ensure that our students are prepared for the world ahead of them, our district has adopted K-12 curriculum that promotes and teaches the current Common Core Standards. In order to support the 21st Century Skills necessary for children to be successful in the future workforce, LPUSD ensures all students have 1-1 technology and the ability to problem solve in different situations through practices in our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program. LPUSD works closely with the various public agencies in our area to support students and families.
LPUSD is focused on students, families, community and fulfilling our mission to equip every student with the tools they need for academic, personal, and social achievement. On behalf of LPUSD, I would like to thank the Lone Pine community for their support and dedication to our students!
