Transitional Kindergarten

TK Registration 

Registration will occur at the annual Kindergarten Round-Up.  Notice of the Round-Up will be announced and advertised. A child is eligible for Transitional Kindergarten if a child will have his/her 5th birthday between October 2 and December 2, 2013. Registration packets will be accepted upon their completion and return to the school site or District Office.

Additional TK Information 

• The required instructional minutes, length of instructional time, and statutory class size limits are the same as the requirements for Kindergarten
• The Lone Pine Unified School District TK model will mirror the structure of our current Kindergarten program with regards to class size and schedules
• TK teachers have the same credential requirements as Kindergarten teachers
• TK is defined as “the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified Kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate”
